Adoption fees vary depending on the size, age and health of the dog. All dogs receive canine vaccinations, worming, rabies vaccination, heartworm test, spaying or neutering and microchipping. Fees range from $50.00 for seniors to $300 for x-large dogs or dogs that require extra care and expense.
Adoption Fees for Cats: $95.00- Fees for cats include feline vaccinations, worming, rabies vaccination, FIV and FELV test and spay or neuter.
Adoption fees help pay for the medical cost on the pet you adopt as well as offsetting the expenses for animals that may require more medical care and treatment, such as heartworm treatment or treatment for other illness or injuries. Remember, when you adopt a pet, you save two lives, the adopted pet will have a new home, and another space comes available in a foster home to rescue another homeless pet from needless euthanasia. Many pets that we rescue need extra care and medication and may be with us for a long time, some pets take longer to find the perfect home and are with us longer, so adoption fees are also used to fund caring for these animals and purchasing food and meds for upkeep.
